If bioethicists like Peter Singer get on a national healthcare commission to determine which healthcare products and services a patient gets based on quality of life, beware. According to the professor at Princeton, parents should have three days after the birth of their child to determine whether the baby should be allowed to live. This is jumping from full term abortion to infanticide, what is next involuntary euthanasia at six months, a year, two years, when does Professor Singer a human being becomes a person? He really does not say. These are the type of people that Sarah Palin is trying to warn about because on Page 30 of the House proposed healthcare bill, it talks about precisely this commission deciding what measures will be used to determine which services and products for healthcare will be provided based on a QALYS, quality assessment of life, and Peter Singer himself said in the New York Times magazine last Sunday, that one teenager's life is worth fourteen 85 year olds. Do you feel your Mom or Dad is safe in the hands of a Hegelian bioethicist like this, well Ezekiel Emmanuel, brother of Rahm Emmanuel, Obama's White House Chief of Staff is mighty cozy with people like Peter Singer and is advising the healthcare taskforce.
Yes, there is cause for worry, make yourselves educated about the House bill talk to your senators and representatives, find out what is making seniors very angry, their fears are justified, because it is not at all settled in this healthcare bill, the value of an 85 or 75 or 65 year old for that matter. So what is the rush, the devil is always in the details, let's hear more of the details, no more rushed through major bills such as the stimulus, and now healthcare, this is insane, and some people have good intentions that will lead to evil consequences for the frail(elderly and newly born).

The new killing fields
The killing is going on in the prisons in Iran after torture to include rape, it is a sad commentary on today's media, that you have to turn to Twitter to get any news on what is happening, CNN, ABC,CBS,NB, Reuters even FOX do not seem to think the torture and killings are newsworthy.

Who wants a NEW WORLD ORDER?
You can call them progressives, liberals, fascists, liberal fascists, progressive fascists, it really does not matter, those who would give up our sovereign rights as a country to the UN or join with the European Union on World Conferences on Reproductive rights and the family, are headed downhill. Many came from Europe and what they left behind were for the most part religious countries. Up until World War II, most Europeans went to church, nowadays European churches resemble Oregon where only 10% go to church regularly. No small wonder Oregon was the first state to legalize volunatry euthanasia.
What will happen if our country becomes Europeanized as Obama and others would like. For one it will become more pagan. Yes that is right, turns out the people who control the Democrat party do not go to church much. Only thirty percent of delegates to Dem convention go to church regularly. Among delegates to Republican convention was eighty percent. You see what the progressives and I use that term loosely, libertines would be a better description for them government is the ultimate authority, the body which can take us to nirvana or utopia. Organized religion gets in the way of their sexual revolution, their quest for population control, rights for homosexuals including marriage. That is why both evangelicals, Mormons and Catholics are demonized by these groups, because they stand as bulwarks against the rising tide of the sexual revolution and all that entails.
Now how did the homosexual and abortion movements get so strong, widespread and fully funded. Because of people like George Soros, but more importantly by non governmental organizations such as the Guttmacher Institute, Planned Parenthood, Lambda(lawyers for homosexual movement). These cabals are well oiled machines, they are progressing toward their goals incrementally, voluntary euthanasia today, involuntary euthanasia thru govenrment healthcare tomorrow. They will accept a loaf of bread a slice at a time, they are realists, pragmatists, not idealists.
In Europe you now have one foreign affairs dept, one structure, defining how big deficits can be for its members, one currency, etc. They have adopted the zeal of the population bomb alarmists, the Rockefeller Institue has done their job for the last fifty years, carrying on a movement started by people like Margaret Sanger who founded Planned Parenthood. Even the ecological movement has been hijacked to educate you that you can reduce the carbon footprint by having less children. Many of them don't like abortion, if they had their way they would just sterilize people like they do in China. Ideas matter, organizations matter, movements that have been around for eighty years matter. As a matter of fact, the patience of the sexual revolution brought by Freudian thought and the population bomb theorists propounded by Ehrlich and others is gaining steam. Even the women's liberation movement which was hijacked by the sexual revolutionists, jumped on the back of the civil rights movement. So in summary some of these movements contained a germ of goodness, but have been corrupted by the sexual revolution population control zealots.
In a CFN interview ith Randy Engel, author talks about the formation of the World League for Sex Reform in 1928, yes eighty years ago. This organization has lobbied and lobbied for contraception, abortion, legitimization of sodomy, population contorl, open marriages, pornography, euthanasia and eventually government owned and supervised brothels.
Dr Richard Day, former medical director of Planned Parenthood-World Population and a Rockefeller protege publicly stated before the riot in Greenwich village in 1969, "homosexuals will be given permission to be homosexual". He gave a historic speech to the Pittsburgh Pediatric Society about a "New World System" on March 20, 1969 the speech was entitled Family Planning: Infant Mortality, Gene Frequency, Abortion and other considerations. He described how the New World System would unfold with sex without reproduction(contraception, sterilization, abortion, homosexuality. He also said abortion will no longer be a crime. The Guttmacher Institue for Population Control, Planned Parenthood and others started decades ago, to eliminate the inferior orders, codespeak for low income undesirables. These are the people that the Rockefellers and other so called enlightened people did not want to support in anyway. They have been very succesful in their object, as despicable as that object is, they were in agreement with the Nazi eugenicist movement, particularly Margaret Sanger. Today, an unborn black child who in their eyes fell into undesirables( along with Mongoloids, retarded children, etc.,) has only a 30 percent chance of being born. They have so inculcated the black community that abortion is somehow compassion, that they are killing themselves. One out of every 4 pregnancies in the US today ends in abortion.
This New World System or Order is being driven by rich people behind the scenes, the face of it is so called "compassion, it is anything but. It is a cold hearted calculation about who is desirable or not, whose life is worth saving or doing away with. Into this vile, toxic mix throw the Hemlock Society which has been very active, they renamed themselves to sound better but voluntary euthanasia in the Netherlands, has now morphed into one third of so called suicides are involuntary. Do we want government healthcare, put together by the crowd that likes eugenics and euthanasia, that promotes abortion, forced sterilization abroad, that wants us to join with other countries to take away rights of parents in favor of the state, who does not have a problem with the One Child policy in China? Think about it, before you give up our private healthcare system to vote for a system that funds abortion and will look at old people in an utilitarian way such as the philosopher Hegel, whom Hitler admired greatly.

ACORN and SEIU thugs and stooges
Turns out some Obama supporters don't like protestors showing up at town hall meetings, they have been told by the White House to hit twice as hard, unfortunately some people took it literally and beat up a black man while hurling racial epithets, he had to go to the emergency room. Turns out it is ok to speak out if you are black and are a liberal, but a conservative, watch out. Whatever happened to civil discourse and debate in this country. Why is it some on the left get vituperative, nasty, personal when discussing public policy issues. It is ridiculous. It is time Congressmen from both parties hear what people think here out in the heartland, because afteer all we can't get heard in Washington over the din of all the special interest lobbyists. Congressmen you better start listening because if you start beleiving your own press releases or the party line, you will find yourself cashiered, that's right, booted out of office, because this time people really are fed up, and if you remember Proposition 13 in California from some years ago, when that happens, they don't lie down or roll over.

Should Nancy Pelosi inspire loyalty?
It appears that Nancy Pelosi is willing to shove conservative Blue Dog Democrats out on a limb in order to do Obama's bidding and get a bill passed before the August recess. She has no skin in the game, as her district did not vote for her as a fiscal conservative. It unfortunately is a loyalty that cuts one way, trying collecting chits when you are no longer in office because you were turned out for following the party line by voting for bills you did not even have time to read. This is like FDR's efforts to pack the Supreme Court, he overreached. Well Pelosi and Obama are overreaching this time, the Senate will not go along, and many conservative Democrats might not either.

The Associated Press
At One time there were two wire services and they competed with each other UPI and the AP. Haven't seen articles by UPI for quite some time. Over time, however have seen the bent of AP articles become more and more predominately liberal, much the same as the network news. The latest article by the AP has such an anti-military slant could not keep quiet any longer.
soldiers in the Fort Carson's 4th brigade of the 4th infantry divsion have been involved in five killings in the last two years. Nowhere in the article does it bother to mention that as the Army found it more and more difficult to recruit while war was going on, started letting ex gang members in the military. This unfortunatley has led to Bloods, Crips and other notorious gangs reforming in the military and their graffiti tags can be found on concrete barriers in Iraq. Some servicemembers have been killed during initiation ceremonies in Germany, off base. We have not had a homicide rate among veterans as high as the general population in the past, however perhaps that is changing. Nowhere in the article is any mention of gangs at all. There have been 121 homicides by veterans in the last four years out of a force of 1.1 million. To put that in perspective, among the population at large, nationally 6 people out of every 100,000 are killed each year, since most are not serial killers, that means out of population of 1.1 million approximately 60 murderers per year or 240 in a four year period. So while the rate is lower, when a unit of 3700 soldiers has five killings in a two year period that is cause for alarm in that unit.
The whole tone of the article is that the average veteran is somehow dangerous to those in the city he lives, this is simply not true. This hyperbole concerning veterans got so bad that an internal memo in the Homeland Security Dept, listed possible terrorists as those who own guns, veterans and prolifers. So I guess as a prolife, veteran who owns a gun, I would be a triple threat. That is plain ludicrous, but it represents the liberal worldview. Post traumatic stress is not good and can be very stressful indeed, but to extrapolate that the 4th Brigade Combat team of the 4th Infantry is somehow an average unit with a homicide rate of 75 homicides per 100,000 people, that is four times as high as the Texas homicide rate of 18, and over twelve times as high as the national rate is scurrilous.

Stimulus or Chicago "machine" politics on a national scale
It appears in spreading around the "stimulus" bill the dollars are going mainly to districts and states that were battleground areas on a higher dollars per capita than states that voted for Obama%, does anyone doubt that this is anything less than the old "spoils" system, the "spoils" are the dollars which will have to be paid back by your children and grandchildren but will be spent in the next 4 years to guarantee the 200 and 2012 elections. This is not stimulate the economy, it is to stimulate you to vote Democrat, period. Florida, Oregon and North Carolina are battling double digit unemployment, but since they are solidly in the tank for the Dems will get little per capita. O n the other hand, states that Obama would like to win next time like North Dakota and South Dakota, will receive large amounts per capita , despite having unemployment rates below the national average. Wyoming which has the lowest 3.9% unemployment rates in teh country will get $1,074 per resident. Nevada where uneployment is 11.3% 167 billion dollars was spread out to the states and they are using it not to start "shovel ready" projects, even though 80% of the people laid off were men. Instead the money is going primarily into apron ready jobs, jobs for women in social work, teaching and healthcare. Unfortunately, those are the areas that had the smallest amount of layoffs. So the stimulus package is going mainly to preserve existing jobs in the auto and government sectors, while the men in construction and manufacturing are left high and dry.
This is as a direct result of a coalition of women's group who went to the Administration, and changed the original "shovel-ready" stimulus bill, to preserving women's jobs. The bill was then put together in the middle of the night and Congressmen were not furnished with copies or time to read it, before they passed it. This is a Pelosi bill all the way, even Harry Reid did not have as much influence in crafting the bill. When the administration disagreed with Nancy Pelosi, Rahm emmanuel bulled her, but in the end, on most things Pelosi and the women's groups held sway.

Inconvenient Lives
I am very interested in watching the movie The Stoning of Soraya M., it reminds one of the other innocents killed such as in the Holocaust, the millions of innocent unborn babies killed each year. It is not the number of innocents killed that matters most, as one innocent, is one too many as the movie will show. Unfortunately when tens of millions died due to central planning of agriculture by Stalin, he said, "when you kill a few it is a horror, when you kill millions it is a statistic." Unfortunately that is what has happened with abortion , to many it is not horror or gruesom anymore but simply numbers, and when millions are murdered for convenience it is just a statistic or a "choice". Although the way her husband framed her for adultery and had his innocent wife killed will be a horror to many, it is no longer a horror when millions of innocents are killed. And where was the outrage in Yugoslavia, the outrage enough for action in Rwanda. Too bad but unfortunately we don't always seem too moved by the killing of others outside our nation, outside our family. Only decadent societies become so inured to the killing of innocents. What does it take to move us anymore? What will it take before we demand action, I must say a leader who can watch the video about Neda bleeding to death on the sidewalk , and who encourages and promotes the funding of abortion, is not the type to meddle to save lives and yet he can embrace a brutal dictator like Hugo Chavez, not meddle with Ahmendinejad, meet with Putin but bypass the countries that have had "color" revolutions. Where is the friend of democracy it seems as if that friend of democracy is no longer in office. Welcome to the Hegelian realists, whose idealism extends only to breaking down barriers to homosexuality and abortion, but for the rest of you yearning to be free, whetherin Iran or Honduras, he has a deaf ear, unfortunately.
An Inconvenient Life
I highly recommend Stephen Hayes movie review of the new movie The Stoning of Soraya M. I now want to see the movie some have said that it is more powerful than Schindler's List that would have to go pretty far. Let's say it is as powerful that still says a lot. From reading the review it appears it is about a husband who wanted to marry a young girl, but he was already married so his wife is an inconvenience getting in his way. So he concocts a tale that she commited adultery and has other men in the village including the gullible mayor participate. Sentence is handed down and Soraya M. an innocent woman is stoned to death. It is based on a true story. It reminded me back in the Old testament, God was very unhappy with the Israelites who were offering their children in the furnace to the god Baal.
More than a million babies per year are killed by abortion just in the United States alone, and how few protest. In a little over four years as many unborn babies are killed in the US than Jews died in the Holocaust. What does Baal, the Holocaust, abortion and Soraya M. all have in common, pure and simple regardless of how full or devoid of malice, millions of innocent lives have been shed, the blood is on the hands of all who do not speak out against such evil!! Go see the movie and then think about it, how many innocen ts must die before you will say anything when evil is being committed, when innocent human beings are killed, it is everyone's business , the world did not act quick enough in Rwanda or Yugoslavia, and has still taken no action concerning the millions of abortions per year throughout the world.
A single innocent human life is worth as many as a million. It is not the number that counts. Stalin said kill a few people and it is a tragedy, kill millions and it is a statistic. Unfortunately he was on to something. We can get agitated about Neda and her death on video, we will go watch the ston ing of Soraya M, we get irate about Hitler and the Holocaust. But how many people today are teaching young people about the tens of millions of unnecessary abortions for convenience, and the unnecessary tens of millions killed by Mao Tse Tung in the so called Great Leap Forward which caused mass starvation or the mass starvation of tens of millions by Stalin, why is is that the Communists get so little reprobation while Hitler alone does. Why is it serial killers like Che Guevara are on t shirts of liberals, however a better image might be Mother Theresa or Martin Luther King, not Malcolm X.
We should only romanticize those who are peaceful like Ghandi, not killers like Che, that is twisted, and why put out a movie somehow romanticizing Dillinger he also was a serial killer, there is nothing romantic about murder, except to those whose morality has somehow gone off the rails. It is time to get back on the path to right, and get out of the forest of wickedness and depravity. The Devil glamorizes evil. The Devil alone tempts you toward wickedness, he appeals to your pride in saying you don't need rules, you can make your own rules. He always attacks authority he is for anarchy, narcissism, etc.

The Yellow Brick to the Emerald City of Obama
Does anyone see the corollary to McCarthyism and the Green movement. All of a sudden people who deny climate change according to Al Gore are as bad as the Nazis were, contributing to a future holocaust. Does that rich bag of wind still have hot air to expel, maybe he is contributing to greenhouse gases and should stop talking before the ice caps melt. Never mind that as much as ice is being added on one side of Antarctica as is calving into the ocean on the other side. Never mind that with a hole in the ozone layer, how is our Earth like a greenhouse, ever see a hole in the roof of your local greenhouse. It would not be much of a greenhouse if all the heat was escaping. Let's see our carbon emission continue to increase unabated, and yet since 1998 the Earth is no longer warming, maybe that is why they don't refer to global warming and have changed to saying climate change. Well yes there may be climate change as this very same group of scientists were predicting global cooling as a disaster just 30 years ago. And as far as weather cycles go, cooling occurs more often than warming. The Little Ice Age occured just 500 years ago, and the last global warming was about 9000 years ago. Must have been caused from all the methane from those mastodon emissions, what do you think?
There is a disconnect between weather and industry by man because if there truly are greenhouse gases caused by burning fossil fuels which is causing the Earth to heat up, then why in the last 11 years has the increase just plain stopped. Am I missing something or is Gore and the other Greenies just engaged in Chicken Little hyperbole. Oh sorry, the sky is not falling, and no there is no greenhouse effect caused by carbon dioxide, sorry to burst the bubble but there probably is a reason there is a hole in the ozone layer to prevent a greenhouse effect. Excuse me if all the labeling such as climate denier, sounds a bit like McCarthy trying to call everyone pinkos. Oh I know if you are not a greenie, then you must be as bad as a pinko, but they won't call you that as the environmentalists are from the left and that is where the pinkos reside. My bad.

The Gap that never closes
The United States government collects 1.8 trillion dollars every year, however at the present time it is spending twice that 3.6 trillion dollars per year. In the years 2000-2008 5 trillion dollars were added to the national debt, making the national debt as of Dec 2008 10 trillion dollars. Unfortunately at the current rate of spending, another 10 trillion dollars will be added in the next 8 years. The problem is even at a low rate of interest, interest of 20 trillion dollars eight years from now will amount to over 600 billion per year or 30% of the annual budget just to service the debt in interest every year. That does not count the 57 trillion in unfunded obligations for Medicare or the 4 trillion that was "borrowed" from the Social Security trust fund.
At the current rate, estimated revenue by the General Accounting Office is that by 2040 all revenue will go to entitlements and interest, leaving nothing for defense or any other govenment agency. So where will we get the money to pay for entitlements as there is a limit to how much we can borrow at any one time, and we are probably at that limit right now, since we are borrowing 5 billion dollars each and every day!!
Well, rather than raise the income tax rate to 60% on people with incomes above 250,000 which the majority of Americans do not support, what is being floated right now are two taxes , taxes on health insurance benefits and the "European" solution, The VAT(Value Added Tax), a tax of 10-15% on everything at each stage(manufacturing, wholesale and then retail). VAT is a true hidden tax because by time you get it you do not know how much it has been taxed. Of course this would be in addition to a cap n trade(carbon emissions) tax. The carbon emissions(hidden) tax is estimated to bring in 60-80 billion per year, the tax on healthcare benefits is estimated to bring in another 100 billion per year, but the "mother" of all taxes is the VAT, it could bring in 800 billion dollars per year.
C ongress has not proposed the VAT yet, it is still in discussion as they want to pass the cap n trade first, then healthcare reform "funded" by a tax on healthcare benefits along with "ghost" savings of 300 billion or more according to the White House, which would be one of every 7 dollars currently spent on healthcare by eliminating waste and fraud. That does not fool anyone even the CBO Congressional Budget Office.
Then to really bring in the dough, then the VAT. The question is how far down this yellow brick road to the Land of Ob, are we willing to go before we say enough with the smoke and mirrors, this is as President George H. Bush said nothing but voodoo economics.

Yes Socialism is Fascism
Wonder why some people think that on end of the spectrum, you have fascism(supposedly on the right) and on the other end you have Communism. They are after all, just different types of fascism. The history is that Stalin did not like his movement being lumped in with everybody else such as National Socialist Party(NAZIS).
So to distinguish communism from Nazism, they started talking as if they were on opposite ends of the political spectrum. It worked, we still look at it today in Stalin's way all these many years later. When in fact, communism, socialism, fascism are all brothers. On the other end is capitalism. Unfortunately nowadays we are drifting away from capitalism toward socialism, little by little. It happened during World War I, when large business colluded with President Wilson to try to drive out the small businessman from competing with them. It happened again during WW II under FDR. Now however it is happening in peacetime between companies like GE and President Obama and Pelosi and her House. I do not know about you but I would rather stay capitalist and not have big business colluding with government to take more of our money and more of our liberty away. Is anyone else concerned about what is happening. We are sliding toward a Jacobin revolution, or toward a Mussolini state or a Nazi type state. Yes I did say Nazi state, as it is was one of the fascist movements, but only one. Socialists wave the spectre of Nazism, whenever they are criticized to say look over on the right, we are the opposite of them, we are as far different as you can get. Well it is time to stop buying that lie because that is exactly what it is, they have been using Nazism as a straw man for decades now. They are like the Wizard of Oz, saying "Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain". Well the man behind the curtain are all the socialists who have President Obama's attention that are driving his agenda(homosexuals, abortionists, environmental extremists, etc.) These have all been depicted as on the left. Nope they want as much control in your lives as Mussolini, Hitler, or Stalin ever wanted, except they will take it slowly. The pace of the erosion of your liberties is the only difference between them and Obama and company. One the right are libertarians and capitalism, on the left is every dictatorial type of government you can imagine, we are now headed down the road to fascism, the only question is will we get off the road before it is too late? What lies ahead is not good, not nice, but is dressed up to be nice. Free healthcare, smarter energy, a civilian corps of commited citizens. My question is commited to what, and they are being called volunteers, since when do volunteers get paid.
And of course the secular humanists who in their anti-clerical movement from the French Revolution have simply morphed into today's environmental extremists. Fraternity is their motto, individual rights must succumb to the will of the people. They promote class warfare, you the people must bring down the bourgeoise and the rich. Populism is not bad, Williams Jennings Bryan was a populist, unfortunately all those who wish to impose fascism, present themselves as being someone who will "carry out the will of the people". Hitler, Stalin and Mussolini all rose to power this way, by pretending that they really cared about the people, by pretending to be empathetic. As if they "feel your pain".
The truth is they do not feel your pain and will not feel your pain when they start inflicting it, if you stand in their way you are an enemy of the state(homophobe, climate change denier, red meat eater, energy waster, anti abortion right winger, etc.) . I could go on and on, but how many words does it take for my fellow Americans to understand the dangers that lie ahead if we continue to go down this "yellow brick road" paved by fascists to the Kingdom of Oz. The Kingdom of Oz is supposedly a utopia on earth that these fascists will create. But the truth is the emperor has no clothes, will we notice before we have given away our freedoms to the state in pursuit of material gain(healthcare, etc.). Or will we help our fellow man not by creating new energy and healthcare systems but by reforming the systems we have not radically but change nonetheless. Let's give poor people health insurance on a sliding scale, unless a person is paying part of the cost, they will resent who is helping them. It is basic psychology that this will happen, the underclass will resent and eventually hate those that pay for their benefits. And the populists are there to encourage that hatred and channel it to get themselves elected and re-elected.
Does a glimmer of the future now enter your eye. And does that future look less rosy, I certainly hope so. Our revolution was about freedom. The French revolution was abour turning the existing order(ancien regime) upside down. That is why their motto also included fraternity and equality. Equality and fraternity sound grand. But as Patrick Henry once said "Give me liberty or give me death". That is because without liberty you will lose your life eventually anyway. Where liberty is not, neither is your control over your own life, let alone the pursuit of happiness.

The Height of Foolishness
We used to have a deliberative body representing the common man in the House of Representatives at one time. It was meant to be similar to the House of Commons. The Senate which is latin for old men, was also a deliberative body that were supposed to rise above mobocracy if it crept into the House of Representatives, that is why their terms are longer to give the people's passions awhile to cool off. However, they never imagined that there would be first a 787 billion spending bill followed today by a 600 billion hidden carbon tax passed within months of each other and neither one, even though they total over a trillion dollars were read. The 300 pages of amendments on the 1200 page bill passed today were only finished at 3 am today. Obviously no one read the bill before they debated and voted on it. As a matter of fact when one congressman asked for a copy, he was told we haven't had time to make copies. Haven't had time to make copies, my answer would have been, then I don 't have time to vote on it, until you do, I am not going to vote on anything I have not had a chance to read. But then again I beleive in logic and wisdom. I am not a party shill.
Rise up peo0ple let Congress know now if this continues any longer, you will not let them have their job back, you will not re-elect them. You want representative democracy and this is not it. We are a republic that has great responsibilities in the world and our Congress needs to stop acting like fools, they need to get their heads on straight, or it is time to march to Washington DC if necessary to get their attention. Right now they think they have the people on their side, oh how wrong they are, they are paying too much attention to their own press releases and the media. They need to talk to their constituents the next time they take a break. There ae fiscal conservatives everywhere in America, independent, republican and democrat. The percentage of people who don't care whether or when the budget is balanced are lesss than half. Why? Because we care about our children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and what this spending will do to them. Debt is a terrible legacy. Debt causes stress, it ruins marriages, if it is manageable it is ok, but it can ruin your life and it can ruin our nation if we allow it.

Men need not apply
Most of the jobs 5.7 million between December 2007 and May 2009 lost in this country have been in manufacturing and construction. These jobs are dominated by men, so most of the job losses have been jobs that men do. On the other hand in the industries like healthcare, etc there has been a net job creation of an additional half million jobs. So one would suppose in order to help men who are unemployed you would want lots of shovel ready jobs to employ the men who have lost their jobs. And that is how the stimulus was originally envisioned, but a funny thing happened on the way to enactment of the stimulus bill.
The Obama administration was bombsarded by NOW, the Feminist majority, the Institue for Women's Policy Researchand the National Women's Law Center formed into a coalition called WEAVE(Women's Equality Adds Value to the Economy). So instead of shovel ready money was channeled into well "apron-ready" jobs in teaching, nursing, librarians, healthcare, social services, areas where there are a much larger share of women. No matter that many more men than women lost jobs. President Obama responded by sending his soon-to-be deputy direction at the National Economic Council along with his aides to a meeting organized by Kim Garndy and Feminist Majority president Eleanor Smeal. Our president did what many men do when confrnted by a chorus of female complaint: He changed his plan. He added health, education and other human infrastructurecomponents to the proposal.,
Despite 80% of the jobs werer lost by men, it is estimated that women will get 42% of the new jobs in he stimulus proposal. Six AP reporters have discovered that the $300 billion sent ot the states is mainly being used for health care, education, food stamps, and othe social services. Since September there was talk about shoevel ready and that is not turning out to be the reality of the jobs created. The Obama administration said it was going to insulate itself from lobbyists. Yet its first major policy initiative ws transformed by an orchestrated barrage, of letters, phone calls, scripted handshakes and meetings with women's special interest groups.
As Christina Hoff Sommers has said "Unless the Obama administration and Congresss find the tmerity to distance themselves frm the new feminist lobby, the "man-cession" will deepen."

The Future is truly at stake
Obama wants to get reelected, he figures his best chance it to creat a permanent 53% bloc of voters which is the percentage that voted to elect him. He has nearly 40% of which 37% will drink the purple Koolaid no matter what he does. It is the 13% in the middle that he wants to hold onto. He figures his best chance is to set up class warfare which is what the Communists have been doing since Karl Marx. All he has to do is tell you that you, the proletariat, are being held down by the bourgoise(middle class) and nobility(rich), then you will re-elect him. So the wedge issue he has defined is healthcare if he can get 13% disenchanted with the current healthcare system, then he has his 53%, although I am sure he would prefer 55% that is safer.
Now what was the biggest difference between 2000, 2004 and 2008. Answer: in 2000 and 2004, the conservative candidate received two thirds of the Hispanic vote. He also got over 50% of the Catholic vote. Now whoever was running Obama's campaign was very shrewd, they had Hillary gather together her support among Hispanic leaders and in exchange for Secretary of State, she would talk the Hispanic leaders into going along as long as the next nominee for the Sureme Court was Hispanic. To add the icing on the cake, he chose Biden, a Catholic to help with the Catholic vote. Now in addition to fulfilling his promise to nominate a Hispanic, he has also chosen a woman, to cement his edge among women in general. I would say that Obama's political advisor is as good as Dick Morris ever was and he was darn good.
So how to get elected as a Republican. Have a woman on the ticket either prez or vp, but make sure that one of the two is a Catholic Hispanic. Jokingly during the election, I suggested on the Dennis Miller show that McCain pick a Hispanic woman, Dennis laughed at me, however McCain picked the next best thing, a woman, although it would have been better if she was a Catholic. We simply must sincerely reach out to Hispanics we cannot ignore possibly the largest swing vote in the country, they vote one way in 2000 and 2004 and not in 2008. What is the issue, the issue is that John McCain would have got their vote if he had not backed down from an immigration stance that was the same as that which got George Bush elected and re-elected and that is that we are the party of traditional values. Instead of banging on your parents who may have been illegals like Tom Tancredo did, we welcome you, we represent your values better than the liberals, and we will set up a practical immigration system, where you can come into this country legally easier and once here start on the path to citizenship. You are productive you do many jobs that would not be done otherwise, you are less a burden than an asset. This is the truth, it is time to stop the xenophobia that too severly limits the quota for those coming from Central America. We have the jobs, they want to work the jobs, let's find a way for that to be done legally, the current system as John McCain and George Bush said is flawed and simply not working, let's fix it. Biden was Catholic in name only, anyone who is in favor of abortion is a catholic with a small c.

All together now--------Focus
I find that it is harder to get many people to focus on the task at hand whether it is ringing me up at the cashier, taking my order, listening long enough to get their phone fixed, etc. Now granted the world is full of many distractions, but you must focus to get things done efficiently, if people have to keep repeating themselves because you are only half listening then whatever you are doing takes twice as long. Add to that, there is an umbilical cord attachment for many nowadays to their phone to text and/or twitter. They feel naked without their phone, they feel they must immediately respond if they receive a text, therefore they even text during business meetings ala Crackberries, or their children twitter and/or text away during class.
Some people say oh i'm just multitasking, oh you mean like that train engineer in Southern California who killed people because he was also texting. Hmmm that ddid not work out very well. For years now we have medicated our children because they have a short attention span, perhaps we should focus on the problem instead of trying to prescribe it away. How well is a child going to learn if he does not train to focus. Focusing is an acquired skill, acquired by many in childhood, although apparently more in short supply nowadays. Now this lack of focusis showing up in adults in their 30's who have become what used to be called scatter brained, it is even hard to carry on a conversation because they skip around like a scratched record.
These people are by no means in the majority, but do comprise unfortunately a growing percentage of people. It seems to be getting worse, I even notice more and more young people talk as if they have a slack jaw, no emotion in their voice, almost like a lack of passion, is that the Ritalin? We need to be careful about overprescribing medicines. Sure it is easy to deal with a problem by just giving a pill, that is what happened all too often in nursing homes, until it became a scandal. Well it is scandalous what is happening to our young people, they are now controllable with medication, but they are flat, still unfocused and not learning well. Time to stop the madness, think about it.

North Korea now what?
Does anyone find it ironic that the "Star wars" missile defense system that came out of research in the Reagan years make stop Hawaii from being hit with a North Korean missile? Yes when Reagan proposed a defensive system to guard against missiles, he was ridiculed by the media, and the Democrats. Now it is our only defense against missiles from rogue nations like North Korea. We need to put one up in Poland, regardless what Putin thinks to protect Europe and Israel. We need to be able to put up anti-missiles to knock missiles out of the sky.

How not to build an energy policy
We need an energy policy in which no form of energy production is offlimits. Nuclear, hydropower, solar wind, biomass(other than food crops), natural gas. If we promote all of these we will have more than enough energy. It is when we have lots of energy, that prices fall. When we start restricing where we can drill, or fail to issue permits to build nuclear plants, that we end up with four dollar gas, it is getting close to three dollars, do we need another price crisis to rethink our existing energy policy? Or do we need to put some pressure on Congress and the White House to stop spending so much money and get out of the way on energy production. Obama has proposed removing all tax incentives 13% to produce or or gas produced in the Gulf of Mexico. Wind and solar could be doubled and would still produce less than 2% of our energy supplies. Environmentalists are the problem they have banned drilling in many areas, are against any new dams, any nuclear power plants, any coal plants. Apparently they are only in favor of wind, solar and maybe natural gas as long as the liquified plant is not in their area.
Let's face it I am a conservationist in the grand tradition of Teddy Roosevelt, but these Luddites go far beyond that, they are basically dictating to our president, how to conduct energy policy, because he is their man. He is no less their man, than Bush may have bent over backwards to accomodate the oil industry. What we need are not energy policies defined by special interests, but designed to benefit all Americans. To reduce our dependence on oil which we import so much, we must start building more natural gas and nuclear power generating plants, so that we can use oil for transportation. We should only expand coal if the pollution can be reduced, however we need to abandon this fallacy that we can save the world by reducing our carbon footprint, keep in mind these are the same scientists and environmentalist that told us 30 years ago, we had global cooling coming our way. Notice they are abandoning the term global warming for climate change, that is because as about 11 years ago, the temperature which has been going up since about 1980 is now starting to drop. These so called statistical models have way too many variables to be accurate, truth is they do not know what will happen. The fine art of weather forecasting is such that they cannot predict what the weather will be like 6 days from now, and I am supposed to beleive them when they make predictions about a century from now!
Let's face it, weather forecaster is the only job I know of that you can be wrong half the time and still not get fired, no wonder Al Gore would like it. Now they have a term climate denier, my Lord they have degenerated to ad hominem attacks whenever they start losing the argument. Read Lomborg's book, COOL IT, he outlines that even if we are having global warming that less people will die, more people die of cold than heat every year. The people most affected by global warming and rise in ocean levels will be those in the blue states living on the ocean. They have predicted anywhere from 4 inches to 3 feet rise in sea level. What utter ludicrous hubris to think we can mange the climate. That would be like trying to hold back the ocean by putting your finger in the dike. As Ghandi said truth is not a democracy, sometimes it is a minority of one. In other words, concensus does not establish truth!! Read Lomborg's book and smell the coffee, I'm already drinking my first cup.

How to lower healthcare costs without rationing
Currently in the United States Senate they are crafting a government run healthcare system to "compete" with the current healthcare system. We already have one of the finest healthcare system in the world, the problem is not everyone has access. Let's not put governemnt in charge, let's give the uninsured help in paying premiums on a sliding scale such as the Basic Health system in Washington state, unlike Washington state however let's fully fund it.
To keep healthcare costs down let's follow Safeway's example. Safeway discovered that 74% of all healthcare costs are due to obesity, smoking, heart disease and cancer. So they developed a system where employees can reduce their premium by taking tests in these four areas, if they pass the tests, they get the discounts on their premiums up to $780 per individual or $1560 per family. As a result of these incentives, Safeway has been able to hold down healthcare costs, no increase in cost in the last four years. Can you imagine how much money this would save in Medicare, Medicaid? Well the latest estimate is 550 billion dollars, more than enough to pay for adding previously uninsured to our current system. No need for making patients wait too long for care which is rationing because in many cases in Canada and Great Britain, patients die first or suffer months or years of great pain. A government run healthcare system in Canada, Great Britain or US is a failure, not because good care is not provided, but it takes too long to get care, while waiting for heart procedure or cancer treatment, patients die first. Also in Great Britain they have a quality of life judgement to keep down costs, basically it means if you are young you get the resources and as you get older, you are denied treatments, because it would not extend your life long enough, in other words you are a useless eater, who does not have enough years left. It is abominable but it amounts to involuntary euthanasia like in the movie, Solyent Green.

Do away with the angst
Why is it nowadays that young people are not more hopeful about the future. When I was graduating the Vietnam War was going on and I could not wait to go over there and do my part to bring the war to an end. Little did I know that it would be micromanaged, such that even though we won most battles, we lost because we handed the country over to the North during the Paris Peace talks so Nixon could say look I got us out just like I promised. When he promised he had no plan and that was quite obvious by how we ended the war, with the enemy nipping at our heels all the way to Saigon. There is so much to be hopeful for nowadays, other than the national debt which needs to be taken care of. We stand at horizons in science, medicine, going back to the Moon, so many things to explore and invent. We have a better standard of living than most of the world. Our young people take ipods, smartphones, 200 channels, supermarkets loaded with food from around the world, clean water, a long life expectancy.
What we must get our young college graduates(millenials) to understand is that it was not always this way, there was a scourge of polio, there were many households without electricity, people actually starved in Appalachia, the Yazoo delta, African Americans could not eat at a Woolworth's lunch counter, or ride where they wanted on the bus. Heart disease was an early killer, there weren't double bypasses and triple bypasses. How long ago was this, it was the early 60's when I was young. We had not landed on the Moon, stamps were a nickel, a box of candy at the movies was a nickel, a pop was a dime. Wages did not buy all the extras they do nowadays. A lot of families may have only just stayed ahead of inflation in the last 40 years, but during that time, many things went down in price. In 1971, you could buy a Ford Maverick for 1,999 which was about 1,000 hrs of wages. Average wage in the U.S. is 18.00 and you can still buy a decent small car for $18,000. It takes one fortieth of an hour to buy a stamp, it took about the same then. Bread was fifteen cents, that took about six minutes to earn then about the same as now. Hamburger was about 55 cents, about 20 minutes of work for one pound, now it is about two dollars or 7 minutes work. In most categories other than housing, it takes about the same amount of labor to earn the money to pay for the same items. As a matter of fact in 1971 we paid 53% of our income for housing, food, energy and healthcare. Now we pay 55%. What has that extra 2% for housing got us, larger houses. The money spent on healthcare gets us the finest healthcare in the world, cures for cancer, stents, double bypasses. We live longer on average not because if we live to 60, we live longer because we live about the same age if we make it to 60.
The biggest difference in life expectancy is because more of us actually live to 60 due to nutritional advances, advances against childhood killers such as polio, pneumonia, mumps, rubella, whooping cough, etc.
So young people why the angst, have a lighter heart, this is not The Great Recession, the recession that ended in 1984 was far worse, at least you will not pay 18% for a mortgagte anytime soon, while unemployment is high at the same time like the late 70% and early 80's. That was the Great Recession that started under President Carter. So roll up your sleeves and help the next greatest generation, yes the Baby Boomers, solve the world's problems, do not shrink away in fear from the stock market, the workplace, etc. but step up to the plate and attempt to hit it out of the park, if you do, you can become the next greatest generation, surpassing your parents in achievements perhaps, even if you do not, you will have tried.

Yes the Economy and Healthcare are connected
President Obama is right about one thing, the economy and healthcare are intricately linked because it is the largest business in the US, we spend about 1.2 trillion per year which is about 9% of the annual Gross Domestic Product. Medicare and Medicaid are paid for both by the Federal Government and by state governments, so you are paying at two levels for them. The problem is that the money for the federal portion is rapidly falling behind.
Recently consumers went on a spending binge, of course Congress has been on a binge since about 1996. By the end of 2008, consumers owed about 130% of their annual disposable income, 13.8 trillion dollars in debt. At the very same time, Uncle Sam on the books had a public debt of 10 trillion, plus 4 trillion borrowed from the "trust" fund and total unfunded obligations to Social Security of 14 trillion and Medicare of 57 trillion. 13.8 trillion and 81 trillion in federal obligations. 94 trillion total and that was at the beginning of 2009 before the inaugaration.
Now everybody agreed that a stimulus package would be necessary but a 400 billion supplemental and a 787 billion plus 1 trillion in additional liquidity pumped in by the Federal Reserve by buying Treasuries with manufactured money. This is what is known as monetization of the debt, unfortunately it will lead very soon to bad inflation. The American public suspects this, so much so that in the latest poll 45% of the public beleives the rest of the stimulus package should not be spent. 44 percent said trying to speed up the spending of the stimulus package is a bad idea. Only 31% said speeding up spending would be a good idea. Also apparently the same 31 percent beleive the stimulus has helped. 33 percent of the public now identify themselves as Democrat, 22% Republican, and 39% Independent, 6 percent not sure. 55 percent do not believe that we should go deeper in debt even if it might mean helping some more needy people.
Many hae contributed to the consumer spending binge which created both the housing bubble and the overvaluation of other assets such as stocks. How do prices rise too quickly, simply the Federal Reserve pumps up the money supply. In 1995 the money supply was equal to a year's output of goods and services by all the workers in the U.S. By 2002 it was 120 per cent, by 2005 it was 140 percent, and now it is 150 percent. Now yes we had some productivity gains in that time, but simply put more dollars chasing only a few more goods and services, that is what created inflation in housing prices and stocks. That is false wealth because you are only getting ahead if you can hold on to your gains. If your gains are caused by a bubble, then unless you sell to a greater fool before the bubble bursts, the potato explodes in your face, and unfortunatley that is what happened to many. Now the very same Federal Reserve that made credit a little too easy, which inflated prices convinced both the Bush and Obama administrations to pump money in to reinflate our economy, we will soon have the same result again, except probably this time the commodites will be food, oil, metals. You can delay purchasing a house or stocks, you cannot delay eating or putting gasoline in your car to get to work. The public has woken up and is starting to smell the coffee. We cannot let Congress, the Federal Reserve and the White House to keep creating inflation. It is time to stop the insane spending, it is time to cut spending, not increase it, otherwise we will be on this hamster ride for a decade like Japan experienced.

Where did all the Borrowing get us?
We cannot borrow our way to prosperity, a short time ago it seems as if many American consumers forgot that, in 2008, the savings rate was a negative one percent. Now for the first 4 months of this year it is up to 4.5%. That is quite a change, however it is time for Congress to get frugal concerning the federal budget. American consumers have tightened their belts and are waiting for Congress to do the same. So far 44 billion dollars of stimulus money has hit the street, the number of job losses is getting smaller, that is too quick, it cannot all be due to the stimulus. Plain and simple truth is the market reached bottom in March. Generally the economy follows by about six months, that means that the bottom will be about end of September. That is with or without the stimulus. You ask why? Well we have a 14 trillion dollar economy, 70% is consumer spending, that means consumers spend over a trillion per month, the stimulus is pumping about 10 billion per month into consumer's hands. Therefore that $10 a week you are getting as a temporary tax decrease and some 44 billion in stimulus funds is adding about 1-2% to the economy. However behind the scenes so much money has been dumped into the banking system by the Federal Reserve using fake money to buy Treasury bills, that inflation will soon take away that $10 a week and then some.\
You can artifically inflate the money supply to pump up the economy, but it has consequences. We saw that in the late 70's and early 80's. The excess of liquidity drove home and stock prices above their real values, when the bubbles finally popped, the values came down to earth, when they did Am ericans lost $12.9 trillion from July 2007 to March 2009. That is value that was not really there it was only due to excess liquidity. American's household consumer debt finally reached 100% of annual income during the 2001 recession, which was brought on by artificially inflated values of tech stocks. The last two Chairmans of the Federal Reserve have failed us miserably, Greenspan talked in 1999 months before the tech bubble burst of irrational exuberance, well that is exactly what a bubble is, however he did nothing to tighten the mo ney supply, he just let the good times roll. Almost everyone is guilty for this past bubble, not Republicans, but also Democrats, Congressmen, the White House, banks, consumers, mortgage lenders, mortgage loan officers, Barney Frank, everyone was enjoying living high off the hog and not thinking that hey this party is expensive, maybe it won't last forever.
Unfortunately we ended up with a hangover. Now President Obama and Congress are trying to reinflate the bubble with stimulus spending, because the natural contraction that we now as a recession slowed down the economy more than they like. The steeper the climb in housing, commodities, stock market, etc. the steeper the fall, we cannot avoid recessions entirely but trying to shorten them, may actually make this one longer. We are trying what Japan tried so far without much success, and because of government intervention their last recession lasted 10 years, they call it "the lost decade".

Cairo speech
Iran is funding Hezbollah in southern Lebanon to take over Lebanese government, so they can fire missiles into Israel, they fund Hamas in Gaza to fire missiles into Israel, they are developing fissile material, North Korea is sharing how to build a bomb. Iran will ship enriched uranium to North Korea, part of it will be turned into bombs for Iran, North Korea will keep some, Iran has been sharing missile technology from Pakistan with North Korea. And now we decide is the time in a speech in Cairo to lecture Israel? Israel has been our faithful ally for many years. Now their very survival may be at stake soon, and instead of supporting them, we have decided to reach out to the Arab world instead? Fatah and Hamas have had many years to take what has been offered by Israel and have their own state, the two state approach, but they have slapped away the olive branch when Yassir Arafat was alive, and Mahmoud Abbas has had so much trouble with his people that he has not accepted any olive branches either. Abbas seems more afraid of Hamas and Hezbollah than interested in peace and land for his people. Most Arab countries and their leaders do not want a nuclear Shiite Iran, they would like to have a nuclear bomb of their own, however, many Arabs and other Muslims, do not recognize Israel and therefore support Hamas and Hezbollah. Will the Cairo speech change that, or will it give the impression that the United States is weakening its support for Israel. You decide.

Gay Lesbian and Transgender Month
Does it bother you that President Obama just declared June as Gay and Lesbian Month, just because he can. Let's see 6 states voters have rejected gay marriage including California. Now the homosexual movement wants gay marriage to be considered a civil right and they are claiming the 14th Amendment which outlawed slavery applies to the. Ok, let's hear it, who does not agree with this and why. It is time for open and hones t debate about this subject without personal attacks on the merits of each side. No labeling people homophobic, that is a tired trick when you are losing an argument is to label people. Look this is a democracy, we expect people to disagree, that is why we have a procedure for passing laws, elections, constitutional amendments, etc. What was not envisioned by the founding patriots, was activism by the judiciary, they created a legislative branch to make law, an executive to carry it out, and a judiciary to interpret when the Constitution applies. When the federal government has jurisdiction and what areas left are all the jurisdiction of the states. By the way, marriage has always been considered the purview of the states. The 10th Amendment specifically says that all areas not reserved to the federal governement remain to the states and the people.

Why so much Outrage over Dr Tiller's killing?
Dr Tiller performed late term including partial birth abortions. He was one of only three doctors in the country willing to do late term abortions right up until the due date. It was wrong to take his life, all human life is sacred. As repugnant as what he was doing, it was not right for anyone to kill him, two wrongs will never make a right. Most Americans as recent polls show support abortion for only 3 reasons, rape, incest or to save the life of the mother. They do not support Roe vs Wade which says that abortions can be performed for any reason. The majority of Americans do not support abortion on demand(for birth control, etc.). The proabortion movement knows this. that is why they lose most ballot issues and fight their battles in the courts, hoping judges will be on their side.
Where does empathy come in? Is is empathy for the mother to help her kill her baby. No, abortion is the ultimate child abuse. Whether an abortion is performed by Dr Tiller or in some "back alley", it is killing . Killing except in self defense is not justified. For all who beleive in the 5th Commandment, it is a command, not a request, it is a mortal sin to commit, it is a sin of omission to allow or tolerate it. So why are the media and some in the press so outraged over the death of one man, when they have no problem with the modern Holocaust, 4000 babies aborted every day in the US? Why, because they are guided by their feelings of empathy rather than a conscience. Let your conscience be your guide, feelings will lead to Hell. Seventy percent of women who initiated a divorce, two years later regretted it. Feelings will lead you to do anything that feels right at the time. You must have a higher guide, to do the right thing, because many times the right thing is not the easy thing, it is easy to have an abortion, harder to give the baby up for adoption or raise it. Charity usually requires both courage and sacrifice.

Trying out twitter because more and more people who are worth following are on it. I will see if I like it or not.
Scary Thought
As much as President Obama is frightening, let's hope for his good health. Why you ask, well because his number two is a bumbling fool, who just speaks whatever comes into his head, might as well call him Mr Gaffe, he has had foot in mouth disease so long, that the expression is, Oh well that's Joe. And if Joe's health fails, we have the ever lovable, Pinocchio Pelosi, the queen of the San Francisco queens. Oh well have to go now before I spoil my lunch.

Runaway freight train
It seems the good people of California have had enough, in 1991 their state budget wass 51 billion, now the latest proposed by Schwarzenegger is $144 billion. That is almost triple in just 18 years, making the rate of expansion around 190% in only 18 yrs. Compare that to the federal government which spent 1.32 trillion in 1991, which is less than just the projected deficit of 1.8 trillion dollars this year for US taxpayers burden. That means since this fiscal year starting October budget is 3.6 trillion that spending has increased about 180% in only 19 years, that is about 8% increase per year, which oh by the way is almost as ludicrous an increase as California.
Many people have tried to pooh pooh the tea bag demonstrations against bloated government spending at the federal level. Well what started as a spark setting off a brush fire could build into a fire storm, as more people become educated about the sheer size of California's and federal budget deficits. They are such large numbers that at first they are mind numbing, but once you start breaking down the household share of that debt , all of a sudden it gets closer to home.
In 2000, federal debt was about $16,500 per person, not counting unfunded Social Security and Medicare obligations which would add another $13,000 per person as of this year. By September 2008, fed debt per peson had climbed to $33,000 per person, not counting medicare and pension obligations. By the end of September 2009, fed debt per person will be $42,000 per person. Projections by the Congressional Budget Office are at the current rate of proposed spending, at only 63 billion per year additional that Obama set aside in budgeting for healthcare, that in 10 years will be $75,000 not counting unfunded obligations. That is $300,000 per household of 4, compared to $66,000 per household in the year 2000.
Does anyone think that this level of spending at the state and federal level is sustainable without bankruptcy? More and more people will soon start expecting a higher interest rate for state bonds and US Treasury bills to take this level of risk. In other words Congress is creating a bubble of spending that is no more sustainable than the housing bubble was. This time the deadbeats are our Congresspeople. They are subprime borrowers. Worse yet they print more money if they cannot borrow fast enough, which makes the dollar less valuable, which creates inflation that will eat away the value of your salary, the amount of good that a dollar of federal spending can do for anyone. Consumers have tightened up, they are starting to save, economize and act fiscally responsible, thank goodness. It is time to demand that Congress do the same, that is what the voters of California trying to send a message by defeating these ballot measures to raise taxes. That is the same message that those who attend the tea parties are trying to send. DO NOT BANKRUPT US, SO THAT THERE IS MONEY LEFT TO SPEND FOR OUR CHILDREN AND GRANDCHILDREN. DO NOT SPEND IT ALL NOW. DO NOT SQUANDER THEIR INHERITANCE.

When you hear people lie
When you hear a person over and over again say one thing and do another, it becoms quite obvious that they are lying. When you say you want to reduce the number of abortions but you won't vote for a single restriction even to save the life of a baby that survives abortion, then you know they are lying. When they say they want fiscal responsibility and they increase the annual deficit to $1.8 trillion, again an obvious lie. How many lies will the American people take before they rise up and say enough, have some principles, we may not agree with you , but tell the truth, stand up for what you beleive in, stop trying to deceive us. I can respect someone who disagrees with me, when they don't lie. I however, have absolutely no respect for anyone even if we do agree if they try to make their case by lying. Pure and simple, the devil is the author of all lies, everytime you lie, you are doing the devil's bidding, whose greatest lie is that he does not exist.
So speak the truth, you may not always find agreement, but never stayu quiet because you fear being unpopular, or in the minority. Your principles may not always be right. We should as Lincoln said pray not that God is on our side, but that we are on His side. Do not hide your light under a bushel basket, let it shine. You are called to be the salt of the earth, if you do not flavor society, then you have become like salt that has lost its flavor, and therefore good only to be thrown down and trampled on.

Nancy Pinocchio?
Does Nancy Pelosi seriously beleive that when she cannot say what she remembers without having to refer to her notes, that the media will not sense blood in the water and the shark feeding frenzy they normally reserve for Republicans will begin. Let's face it scandals drive television journalism, just like they do most daily newspapers and most of the rest of TV.
Does she seriously beleive she can tell a lie about one of the premier intelligence gathering agencies in the world and they will not defend their honor? Wow, even Leon Panetta won't take this lying down. Nancy Pelosi will soon be such a liability to the Democratic party that she will be encouraged behind closed doors to step down. There will not be a vote on a resolution to remove her privilege as Speaker of the House as Gingrich suggested, that is way too public. No, the pressure will occur behind closed doors. So if she steps down, remember you read it here first.

Are There any Catholic Universities left?
When the leader of Notre Dame decides to confer an honorary law degree on a President who has done everything in his power to be as pro-abortion as possible in both word and deeds, who has not done anything to reduce abortions, who when campaigning for the Democratic nomination told the crowd that they should choose him because after all he has done more for reproductive rights than any other candidates, what is the average Catholic to think? Notre Dame is not alone in conferring honors on pro abortion people, simply the most visible because the honor is being conferred on our President. Sacred Heart University honored pro-abortion activist Kerry Kennedy. Xavier University commencement honored pro-abortion political activist Donna Brazile. University of San Francisco honored pro-abortion district attorney and Proposition 8 opponent, Kamala Harris. Catholicism is not a democracy and no matter how many "Catholic" universities honor those who promote abortion, the Fifth Commandment bars killing. Like Ghandi said "Sometimes the truth is a minority of one". The official Catholic position is not articulate by the president of Notre Dame or the President of the United States it is by the Pope in the Vatican. It is heresy to say that you can honor politicians who promote intrinsic evils such as abortion which by their very nature are automatically evil. No amount of sophistry, no matter how many theologians thinking they know how many angels dance on the head of a pin, will change the intrinsic evil of abortion ever. This is why people like Alan Keyes and Terry Randall showed up knowing they may be arrested, to publicize that what the President of Notre Dame has done by honoring President Obama this way is not in keeping with Catholic theology or American Catholic culture as previously expressed by Catholic institutions, who are proving to be unfortunately more and more only Catholic in name rather than philosophy or theology. President Obama is not instrinsically evil as everyone can take an immoral stance from time to time, but when they do we must speak out and chastise them by appealing to their conscience, not honor them with an honorary law degree.

How much regulation is too much
Finally some tea parties. Finally some people who don't usually take to the streets are fed up. Finally some people who are upset about the amount of debt being piled up that won't be paid off in their lifetime, let alone their children and maybe their grandchildren's lifetimes.
How many trillions have to be spent before the madness of it all sinks in. How many 787 billion dollar packages hafe to be passed without being read, before it is acknowledged as insanity.
The Fededral Reserve is working at cross purposes right now, they have increased the amount of debt they are incurring weekly so much that the price of Treasuries is going down, sending the yield up. So why does that matter? Well banks peg mortgage rates to the yield on 10 year treasuries, so if the yield goes up, the mortgage rate goes up. So while the Federal Reserve would like mortgage rates to stay down to jumpstart the economy, printing a trillion dollars out of thin air like they did a few weeks ago, works in the opposite direction sending mortgage rates up. Why, well because when you simply print money rather than borrowing it, the dollar becomes worth less, needing a higher interest on mortgages to stay ahead of the inflation caused by pumping so much fiat money into the economy.
Was a stimnulus package necessary, probably not. Let's just for the sake of speculation, assume a package of some size was necessary, why the rush to pass the bill so much so that there was no time to read it. And yet when it was passed on a Friday it was not signed by the President until a special signing ceremony in Denver on Tuesday. Let's see it could still have been signed on Tuesday after having been read on the weekend and passed on Monday.
Oh but that's the point, all of that pork may have not been approved by Congress, there may have been some debate, the size of the stimulus package may have been reduced. And of course the ultimate reason for the rush, to get it into the hands of the state governments before the economy could start to recover. Let's see now the stimulus money is just starting to be spent, Wall Street has climbed significantly since March 9 and shows much more potential to grow again. Historically, the market grows about six months before the recession ends which would be about September, about the time that much of the stimulus package really starts to be spent.
So coincidentally it will look as if the stimulus package is the reason for the recovery, NOT!!
So if the economy was going to recover anyway and now we have plowed trillions into it to juice it up, that means it will be artificially stimulated, so when stimulus dollars wear off, it will be like a bad hangover, hyperinflation will set in, real wages after inflation will actually go down. Unemployment will climb again and voila, stagflation as in late 70's will come roaring back. How many times do we need to learn that more debt does not solve the problem of having taken on too much debt already!!
Why don't I have more faith in Timothy Geitner, former head of the New York Federal Reserve, because it was on his watch that the economy was overstimulated with too easy credit to begin with. It was he and his cronies in the banking industry and Wall Street that overinflated the money supply and caused the bubble in housing!! So we need a bubble in the Federal Government and massive interest on the national debt(a permanent solution) to a temporary problem(housing bubble). The last time extraordinary measures were taken was the Federaal Reserve creation as a result of the 1907 panic when JP Morgan sat bankers down together are pretty much ordered them to rescue Wall Street, beginning to sound familiar, only difference is now it is government rather than Morgan doing the directing. As Seneca, the famous Roman senator said, "Those who fail to understand history, are doomed to repeat it."

LET'S CUT TO THE CHASE
The media and presss have done a very pathetic job in educating the public how this financial crisis was created other than it had to do with mortgages and something called credit default swaps. Bear Stearns bought mortgages and bundled them together and sold them as bonds called CMO on Wall Street.
Banks, pension plans, etc around the world bought them. Bear Stearns used the money to buy and bundle more mortgages. A big buyer of these Collateralized Mortgage Obligations was AIG. The problem however extends to credit default swaps(a type of complex financial instrument known as a derivative). AIG sold insurance in the form of CDS(credit default swap) which is insurance against the default of a corporate bond issued by General Electric or Lehman Bros. for example. AIG beleived that CMO were safe, after all they were rated AAA by
Standard and Poor and Moodys for example. Some CMO especially for subprime(people with lower credit scores or no down payment) mortgages. These were especially attractive because of the higher interest rates. So the whole system was predicated on this cycle of mortgage, bundle it, sell it, use money to lend new money on new mortgages, then do it all over again created a global chain.
Now enters a problem AIG and others were borrowing money for short periods of time to buy what is essentially a long term financial instrument. It is known as the carry trade. As long money was easily available, they began to buy $30 of bond for every $1 they had in assets. This is what has always been known as speculation. As a result the global purchase and trade of financial derivatives exceeded the entire value of the gross domestic product of the world. They were essentially buying on margin. Well if you have ever heard of a margin call, you know that you end up having to sell stock to meet a margin call, in other words you must put up collateral against the money you borrowed.
As long as housing values went up, people refinanced to use equity in their homes to buy items they otherwise could not afford, money was flowing and everybody seemed fat and happy. What however was created was a bubble in the housing market unlike any previous housing bubble, since consumer spending in 70% of our economy. Now it was not a large percent of subprime mortgages that went into default about 8%, but when you are leveraged 30 to 1, it does not take much to bring the whole house of speculation tumbling down. Once it started heading down, bear raiders(again speculators) rushed in to grab a quick profit, they started buying credit default swaps and shorting(borrowing shares, selling them today and repaying the shares in the future by buying them when they became cheaper) financial instutions. This accelerated the fall of the house of cards, financial institutions had to put up collateral because of the loans they had taken, as they did so, they had to write down the value of their assets, as they did their share prices fell, which bear raiders then shorted even more, as the value of CDS(credit default swaps) went up.
The federal government decided to let Lehman Bros fail, the bonds it had sold became worth only pennies on the dollar, it rippled around the world started bringing down banks while bear raids did further damage. Finally Uncle Sam could no longer stay on the sidelines, so they jumped in with hundreds of billions, then hundreds of billions more, took over AIG, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, etc. As noone anymore wanted to buy CMO, no more money for mortgages, housing sales dropped, values of houses dropped, causing layoffs, ertc. AIG and others stopped borrowing money and issuing credit default swaps. The credit market froze up, causing more layoffs, further declines in home building and sales, etc.
As Paul Harvey would say and now for the rest of the story. Eventually a large stimulus bill of almost a trillion dollars was passed. On top of the immense borrowing by the Federal Government to the tune of 5 billion dollars a day, the Federal Reserve a little more than a week ago, decided to add to their reserves, so they issued electronic money in exchange for Treasury bills. This injection did not mean money was printed, but actually produced right on the computer at the Federal Reserve to the tune of a trillion dollars.
Consumers have cut back, the savings rate has gone from minus one percent in 2007 to plus 4 percent so far this year, it was 10 percent back in 1980. Now the actions Uncle Sam is doing will cut into those savings with inflation. When you pump up the money supply to this degree, hyperinflation is coming, not too far away. Inflation was created in the 70s, mortgage rates went up to 19% for those with good credit, it was as a result of wage and price controls imposed in the early 70s, when they were taken off, inflation took off. This was at a time of increasing unemployment, added together it was called the misery index and propelled Ronald Reagan into the White House.
It is time to stop adding to the national debt, not just for the doubling and quadrupling of debt. The Debt was doubled under Pres. Bush and is being doubled again under Obama. From 5 trillion to 20 trillion in 12 years. It took 211 years to get to 5 trillion, only 8 years to get to 10 trillion and will at this rate only take 6 years to reach 20 trillion, 4 trillion of which was taken from the Social Security payroll taxes over the last 40 years leaving zero, yes that is right zero cash in the so called Soc Security lockbox.
Tell your congressmen/somen that you do not want them to creat debt at this rate, they must slow down in issuing debt. How? Send them an empty tea bag, beleive me, they will know what it means, it will speak for itself, a modern day "Boston tea party".

Sad Day for our Country
Our country was founded by men who not only believed in a God but that human beings have inalienable rights, rights that cannot be taken away in other words. Among these are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. Roe vs Wade was bad enough it has resulted in the unmerciful ripping apart by suction machines of over 40 million unborn babies in this country alone. I shudder to think what the worldwide figure is. It is a modern day holocaust of defenseless unborn human beings and if you can somehow rationalize this and still beleive in the 5th commandment, then you are using awfully twisted logic. 2 days or 200 days old is merely a matter of size. It is not a potential human being, it is simply a human being without protection
Abraham Lincoln was quite familiar with the Bible and used the ideas from it many times. When he said to take care of the widow and the orphan he was appealing to our human compassion. The truly noble will always defend the weak and defenseless. Let's get our priorities right since how many years is it that we care more about a bald eagle, a harp seal but not about an unborn human being. Again twisted rationalization.
PETA is more concerned about cows than human embryos. Nowadays you can drum up more support to stop a puppy mill than an abortion clinic. Why is that? I do not expect everyone to agree with me, however on this issue I will not mince words.
The whole reason I am bringing all of this up is our President, is going to propose on Tuesday to lift the ban on research funding for embryonic stem cell research. This, despite the fact that everyday adult stem cells are being shown to do the same thing. Also federal funding for adult stem cell research continued unabated. So why in God's name would you want to set aside billions as has been done in California, when not necessary.
The road to Hell is paved with good intentions, but there is absolutely no reason to continue to destroy human embryos just because they are leftovers from in vitro fertilization. As for in vitro fertilization since this is what it has led to, maybe it is time to reconsider whether it is really a wise thing to do. Let's leave fertilization up to God, and let us not destroy His divinely produced unborn human beings. If you do not agree with this blog, oh well that is fine. If you do agree with this blog, please pass it on.

Defining Deviancy down
Let me begin by saying that phrase was coined by none other than the late Daniel Patrick Moynihan, an old school Democrat and scholar. He wrote about how our standards in this country keep slipping downward, such as percentage of births that are illegitimate, violence in our music, higher divorce rate and promiscuity resulting in so many fatherless children. Oh and by the way, a very large percentage of the poverty in this country are fatherless households.
There is great deal of disrespect for women in our culture. When entertainment embraces songs that call women whores, b--ches, and glamorizes being a pimp. Why would we possibly say pimp my ride, is that somehow cool. Well, be careful what you are willing to embrace in the name of cool. Gangsta rap songs are filled with disrespect to women, foul language, and violence toward women. Now if only a few of our youth were listening to this, it would not be a large problem, however it is a large percentage of our young people. Bill Cosby has spoken about the gangster subculture, the promiscuity that is causing both illegitimate births and fatherless households. Bill Clinton even talked about once when he talked about Sister Souljah.
Now if you do not engage in homosexual sex or IV drug abuse , you have a 1 in 8,000 chance of contracting AIDS if you are not promiscuous and live in the United States. For every four people killed in car accidents one person dies of AIDS. However in sub-Saharan Africa where promiscuity is king, unfortunately five percent of all Africans that is 23 million are infected with AIDS. Promiscuity is a life and death problem, it is a public health problem, it is not just a personal decision, or a moral decision.
Look at Magic Jordan he could tell you a lot. AIDS is on the rise in India now with 1.3 million cases or about one out of every 100.
Some say oh let's just distribute condoms, well when you are dealing with a deadly disease, statistics become important, couples who use condoms, the woman becomes pregnant 10% of the time. The pill is used because there are less pregnancies, but the pill does not prevent sexually transmitted diseases. Would you play russian roulette with a gun with ten chambers and one bullet, would you put that gun to your head over and over again, each time increasing your chances that it will be deadly? So when it comes to AIDS the answer to safer is not a condom, it is to not be promiscuous or put IV drugs into your body.
The bottom line is that immoral decisions do not just have consequences for your soul, they have consequences for your body, your family and the society at large. Decisions have consequences, sometimes very deadly consequences. Why do we put so much publicity into wearing seatbelts, but not against promiscuity, not more about respecting women, and deglamorizing gangster culture.
We have a murder rate in the US that is twice that of Canada or Washington state which is 3 per 100,000. US is 6. Texas is 18, unfortunately capital punishment does not deter murderers, because like any criminal they do not expect to get caught. Most murders occur where gangs are widespread, that is the large cities. In those cities it is not all neighborhoods. The neighborhoods where gangs do rule, the gangsters end up in prison or dead, sometimes in prison first, then dead. Our number one problem in this country is not the public education system, that could be number two. Our number one concern needs to be stopping the gangs.
How are we going to minimize gangs. The FBI estimates 80% of all violent crime is committed by gangs. Number one we need to stop glamorizing gangsters in our movies and music. We must take a stand like Bill Cosby against irresponsible behavior, we must let our young people know that the glamorization of promiscuity and running in the hood, ends in poverty and body bags. The number one source of revenue for gangs is illegal drugs. Drugs are a gateway for the devil to enter your soul, ex-addicts will tell you how they will sell their soul for a fix. Why would we possibly not want to keep our young out of these criminal organizations? Additionally, fatherless households are ripe pickings, young men want an older male to look up to, to model themselves after, if that person happens to be a gang leader, how tragic.
The subculture of promiscuity and gangs is killing our young people. Let's turn our young people around by cutting off the pernicious influence not only of gangs but the music industry and everywhere gangsterism is glorified. Come on we are the adults, no adult should make money off the pimping of women, the perversion by gangs of young men. There is glamour in crime, if you don't mind the evil, but only because we are not critical enough of pimps, the victimization of women and young men, we must not look the other way just because it is not happening in our neighborhood.
In Nazi Germany, someone said they came for the Jews, I said nothing, they came for the retarded, I said nothing, they came for the Catholics, I said nothing, by the time they came for me, there was no one left to say anything. So you see the cancer of gangsterism which flourishes in the inner cities is spreading like a cancer across our country, if we do not do more to discourage young people from joining, soon it will be your neighborhood. So even if it is not yet in your neighborhood, for the sake of our society, draw a line in the sand now. We are in the midst of a financial breakdown, it will pass. But the ever increasing homicide rate in inner cities will not pass on its own only keep marching until it reaches your neighborhood. Wake up before it hits your family.
There is great deal of disrespect for women in our culture. When entertainment embraces songs that call women whores, b--ches, and glamorizes being a pimp. Why would we possibly say pimp my ride, is that somehow cool. Well, be careful what you are willing to embrace in the name of cool.

Unfortunately we seem to be slipping ever deeper into "It takes a village". What I mean is we have many people who think that the government is there to bail us out when we make bad choices. It started with hey if you are going to be an intravenous drug abuser, then let's give you clean needles so you don't get AIDS. Kids if you are going to engage in premarital sex anyway, well let's just push condoms so their immature relationships will be somehow safer. Oh by the way sorry to burst that bubble but 10% of the time sperm gets through anyway, which is why they have never been as good a contraceptive as the pill. Oh by the way, we now know that the combination pill with progestin and estrogen, progestin to somehow prevent cervical cancer, turns out most cervical cancer is caused by an STD, therefore the need for Gardasil to be a vaccine to prevent this particular STD.
What about abstinence, why all the amoral focus just on diseases or making sex safer? Because missing from this governmental approach condoned by Planned Parenthood, is morality, we wouldn't want that now would we? Oh and what has in vitro fertilization brought us besides Octomom, how about cloning embryoys in orded to harvest stem cells, instead of latching on to the advances in adult stem cell research, because after all embryonic stem cell production is so much easier, we have cloning down right. Let's see there were people who said the pill was wrong, who said in vitro fertilization was wrong. Who said separating love and morality from sex was a bad idea. Don't sound like such dinosaurs now do they? Perhaps they were visionary, or perhaps they did not need to see the consequences of these particular paths. Maybe they just saw that the creative act where Heaven touches the earth, where human interacts with the divine, should not be taken into a laboratory.
You see that is the way wisdom is, certain things are wrong, they are wrong for a reason, we may not always know the reason, but we do not always need to know the reason to know right from wrong.
Our loving Father has figured it all out. And when we start taking him out of the creative act, so we can pursue pleasure only, or procreation without love, then that is where we head down into Hell. Yes oh my goodness, I did say Hell, and yes there are many demons who would like us to join them. You know, misery really does love company.
Ta ta until later, your fellow human being. Enjoy your life and do not anything or anybody rain on your parade, as long as your parade is stimulated by true joy, may it fill your heart to overflowing. God bless.

Now is the time for action to save the futures of our children and grandchildren.
We must act now to stop the financial madness. Huge spenders are using a crisis to bankrupt our country and do not even realize it. The latest budget proposed by President Obama calls for spending of 3.6 trillion that is 10 billion dollars per day, the projected deficit is 1.8 trillion . That breaks down to Uncle Sam spending 200 billion dollars per hour, one trillion dollars every 5 hours, half of that will be borrowed.
It took our country from Andrew Jackson to 2000 to rack up a 5 trillion dollar debt, Congress has doubled that in the last 8 years. As bad as that is, we will double it again to 20 trillion in just six short years at the rate proposed in the Fiscal Year 2009 budget.
Beleive it or not if we did not have obligations beyond the reported national debt we could probably do ok. However, Congress robbed 5 trillion from Social Security and other pension obligations and spent it. It replaced the money coming in with ious only. That is our supposed "trust" fund. In other words trust us to figure out how to replace that money. The trust fund was supposed to be actual money. For the first time ever more money will go out for Social Security than payroll taxes coming in this year.
The projected amount of shortfall for Social Security is 14 trillion dollars. In other words in a few short years, considering that Medicare shortfall is 57 trillion, we will have to come up with an additional 71 trillion in the next 75 years that is nearly 800 billion per year over and above current monies coming in. That amounts to money equal to the stimulus bill every year for the next 75 years.
So as President Obama proposes to have a 500 billion deficit every year starting in FY 2010 without including the Soc Security and Medicare shortfall. Unless taxes are raised through the roof on 80% of the people instead of 5% of the people, then benefits for these programs will need to be cut drastically. How much is 800 billion per year, that is equal to all of the discretionary spending for every government program that is not entitlements, pensions, defense or interest on existing debt.
Sound the alarm let Congress know you have had enough this is not a Democrat or Republican problem, it is an American problem and if it means throwing all the dirty rascals out along with the well meaning ones then so be it. The future of our country, the security of our country is at stake, right now there are few issues beyond a possible nuclear Iran or Pakistans nuclear weapons falling into the hands of Al Qaeda that are of such urgency for national security. If we start having to pay China Japan and others 9 or 10% to finance additional debt beyond our current 10 trillion that would be bad. But what will happen to all of our benefit and pension programs if they stop loaning us money and basically say that is it, we will not continue to invest billions per day into your economy, we will no longer accept just interst payments we want collateral. What if Chin's military buildup is being financed by the additional debt we pile on, what if our AAA credit rating is lowered because of too much national debt. It is not widely known but whereas we used to be in the first tier of countries with AAA ratings on our debt, we have now already slipped into the second tier, do we want to pile on debt until we slip down to AA only, that automaticaly will mean higher interest rates to borrow from China, Japan, etc. Private individuals have cut back their spending and borrowing, businesses have tightened their belts, it is past time for Congress to do so also. Anything is treason, in other words betraying the future of our country into the hands of others, and what kind of a legacy would that be for our children and grandchildren?
